noir
Stoya
Here’s a sketch of a cool shoot I had with my friend Stoya.
I’ve got this big project that involves a Noir look that I started a couple of years back and want to complete (or at least take the next step on) this year. Back in ’06 Stoya helped me out with a photoshoot and by helping make a dress for the shoot. Unfortunately I reward her here with a sloppy sketch that doesn’t really look like her. I’m a little messy these days, but should be back on track late next week. I’ll write more on the project as it progresses, and you can see some parts of the project that are in development in some of the drawings from this past month. It’ll bring together my current style, my previous style (from ’92 – ’99) some writing and some of my Illustration background.
Zzzzzz …
Exhausted. Here’s a sloppy picture from what will either be my next painting or the painting after that.
Here I’m playing with the reflection and the wardrobe options.
Paintings Week 2
This is what I did this weekend.
Biggest thing I learned is to remember to use the 1 inch brush
Day 7: Trying out some noir and greek stuff

Day 6
This week is going fast. Oh and damn, I need to start and finish some kind of painting tonight to get my weekly paintings going. Oops.
Here’ Gene Tierney.
Update: by complete coincidence this blog featured Ms. Tierney two days before I drew this (but a week after I grabbed the picture to use for reference): http://razorcandy.blogspot.com/search/label/gene%20tierney
