Where ya been?
My painting production has been real low the past few weeks as T and I have been getting the house ready for our new boy. (He’s due in late Sept)
I’ve done some sketches here and there, and got in a painting that I really liked, but haven’t been able to paint the way I’ve wanted to.
I have eight projects in various states of progress. Two of them are on canvas now, waiting to be painted. Each project will have between six and twelve paintings in each. I keep getting tripped up by trying to do them all simultaneously. It’s not fun having nothing to show and having more ideas than ever. I feel completely unproductive and yet overwhelmed. I’ll fight through it and hopefully have some of the simpler stuff out before the boy arrives.
I think I need to stop, slow down, work on one at a time, and follow the same process I’ve used for the past 13 years for my Halloween paintings.
