Painting Study. Reflections series. Stoya

Here’s a sketch I did in preparation for a new painting for a new series I’ve been working on for a few years. Just getting to paint it now.

In this one, the model is Stoya. She’s gorgeous, and has very defined features, but for some reason though I’m very good at capturing people’s likenesses, I’m hit or miss when I draw Stoya. I think it’s because her features are very subtle. Part of the beauty. It also allows her to create many different looks.

I’ve got a likeness drawn on the canvas now that I’m happy with, I’ll post a picture of it later. For now, here’s a breakdown. It’s not so flattering, but it will help me later when I paint.
